Chair, Rosa S. Anderson is Director of Student Service for the Public Administration Program at North Carolina Central University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, master’s in Human Science, the family master’s in career consulting and a certification as a Volunteer Manager. She is a member of Toastmaster’s Inc., Learn and Serve Ambassador of NC Dept. of Public Instruction, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, and a board member of Volunteer Center of Durham. She is a teacher and member of Mount Level Baptist Church in Durham, NC and a community advocate volunteer. Ms. Anderson also serves as Vice Chair of Programs for Volunteer Managers Association of Durham, a Strategy Team Member of C.A.N. and is a precinct chair in Durham.

Co-Chair, Angela O. Terry retired as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in 2002. Prior to service at NCCU, she retired as an Associate Vice President at the University of Connecticut. She holds a B.A., M.A., and a Ph.D. in Psychology, with concentrations in Child Psychology and School Psychology. She is President of the Association of NCCU Retired Personnel, a member of the Friends’ Board of the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Dr. Terry is particularly interested in women’s mental health issues, in addition to educational and career opportunities for women.

Secretary, Yvonne Sanford Dunlap is employed in Regulatory Affairs for Clinical Trials at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. She received her master’s degree in organizational development and is a retired administrator for Duke University Medical Center. Yvonne is the current president of Today’s Woman Organization, Inc. and the Program Chairwoman for the Durham Faith Community on HIV/AIDS. Yvonne is also the past chairwoman for the Durham Human Relations Commission, Durham Community Relations, and of the Health Awareness Committee for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.-Durham Alumnae Chapter. Yvonne maintains a strong focus on domestic violence issues.

Treasurer, Claire Robbins is Program Coordinator at the Duke University Women’s Center. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work with an MSW and a 2001 graduate of Swarthmore College with a BA in Education, Anthropology and Women’s Studies. Claire is particularly interested in domestic violence and sexual assault prevention, feminism, and community organizing.

Virginia Franks graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her bachelor’s degree in communications. She is completing her certificate in non-profit management through Duke University continuing studies and is currently employed with McCorkle Policy Consulting, a political and public policy consulting firm. In the fall, Ms. Franks will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law on a scholarship. She is a board member for Devout Democrats, was campaign manager for a successful district court judicial race, and is a former member of the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission. She is interested in educational and economic opportunities for women and prevention of violence against women.

Annette Anderson Bailey is a retired social worker and a 1968 graduate of North Carolina College at Durham (now North Carolina Central University). She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s of social work from the UNC School of Social Work. She is also a life member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of Women In Action for the Prevention of Violence and Its Causes, Inc. She serves on the Vestry and is Senior Warden at St. Titus’ Episcopal Church. Annette is interested in child abuse prevention, women’s issues, as well as issues of domestic violence. She works as an adjunct lecturer in the NCCU Sociology Dept.

Marian Dillahunt-Andrews serves as an English instructor at Vance-Granville Community College. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s degree in English, and a master’s degree in Library Science. She is a certified instructional designer and maintains North Carolina Department of Public Instruction certification in English 9-12 and TESOL K-12. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. Ms. Dillahunt-Andrews also serves as a trustee of the Durham County Library Board of Trustees and is the Facilities and Standards Chairperson for the Durham County Library Board of Trustees’ Facilities and Standards Committee. She is also a member of the Star of Hope Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteers regularly at Pearsontown Year-Round Elementary School. Also, Ms. Dillahunt-Andrews is the founder of the Vance-Granville Community College Literary Arts Club. She also serves as the club’s advisor and magazine editor. Ms. Dillahunt-Andrews maintains interest in family literacy, education, and financial empowerment.
